Good for basic stuff

I used the Core Plan for a few months to automate some social media posts. It was pretty easy to get the hang of. Setting up the workflows wasn't too bad. My stuff just ran in the background, which was nice.

Annual billing savings worked

I was looking for an automation tool and compared a few options. Make seemed like a good fit, especially with the annual billing discount. I went for the Pro Plan and saved a good chunk of change by paying for the year upfront. It felt like a solid investment for the features I got. Worth the money for sure, much better than paying monthly.

Loving the AI Agents!

Oh my gosh, the Make AI Agents are a game changer! I set one up for customer service responses and it's amazing how much time it saves me. It was so much fun to configure! I will absolutely be using this platform again, probably upgrading my plan soon. You have to try this if you want to automate anything!

Make platform experience review

I purchased the Teams Plan for my small business last month, primarily to streamline our lead qualification process. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, and I received my account activation details within minutes. Delivery, in terms of platform access, was immediate. I found the Scenario Builder to be quite powerful once I got past the initial learning curve, which took a few days. The HTTP Request Tool came in handy for some custom integrations we needed. I did reach out to customer support once regarding an issue with a JSON integration, and they responded within 24 hours with a helpful solution. The platform's overall quality seems robust, and it's been running our workflows reliably. It definitely helps clarify what to expect with complex automations.

Decent tool, some small quirks

I signed up for the Pro Plan to manage some data transfers between different services. The workflow templates were a good starting point, and I appreciated the flexibility of the API Connector. Delivery of the service was instant, obviously. Customer support was okay; I had an issue with a specific integration not parsing data correctly and it took them a couple of days to get back to me, which felt a bit slow. Still, the platform is generally reliable and I like the visual builder. It's a powerful tool, just wish their support response times were a little quicker.

Does anyone know if Make is genuinely better than Zapier for more complex workflows? Zapier sometimes gets clunky with multiple steps.

T Todd Kim 1 month ago
I switched from Zapier to Make last year, and for complex stuff, Make is way more visual and easier to manage. Zapier felt like a bunch of separate steps sometimes, Make is more like a flowchart.

It depends. Make is definitely more powerful for intricate stuff, but it also has a steeper learning curve than Zapier. For simple A to B automations, Zapier is fine.

Trying to get a discount on the Pro plan, anyone know where to find promo codes? Or if they do student discounts?

C Cody L. 1 month ago
Usually, the best discount is just paying annually, you save a good chunk there. Sometimes partners have codes but they're not super common.

I know they do student discounts, I think you need to apply through their site with your student ID. Also, look out for Black Friday deals, they usually have something big then.

What's the deal with payment options? Do they take PayPal or just credit cards for paid plans?

B Brett Torres 1 month ago
I'm pretty sure it's mostly credit cards, that's what I use. Don't remember seeing PayPal as an option.

Pretty standard, like Visa, Mastercard, AMEX. I don't think they do PayPal for regular subscriptions, maybe for enterprise stuff though, not sure.

Thinking of trying out Make, is it really free forever for the basic stuff? Or just a trial that runs out?

S Sam Torres 1 month ago
Yeah, there's definitely a free tier that's not just a trial. It's pretty good for getting started, I used it for a few months.

It's free forever for basic use, but you'll hit limits pretty fast if you're doing anything complex or high volume. Good for testing ideas though.

How are tasks counted on Make? Is it per module in a scenario or per full scenario run?

S Sarah 3 weeks ago
It's per module execution, not per full scenario. So if you have a scenario with 5 steps and it runs once, that's 5 tasks used.

O Omar Z. 2 weeks ago
Yep, every time a module does something, it counts as a task. You gotta watch out for iterators, those can eat tasks fast if not configured carefully!

If I sign up for an annual plan but then decide it's not for me after a month or two, can I get a refund?

K Kevin Marsh 1 month ago
From what I remember, they don't do refunds for partially used subscriptions. You can cancel future renewals though.

N Nina C. 1 month ago
Nah, they're pretty clear about no refunds for already-paid periods, especially for annual plans. Make sure you're committed before you sign up for a year.
